What We Do
Miss Panama U.S. is more than a beauty pageant—it is a cultural movement that celebrates Panamanian heritage, empowers women, and builds community pride.
Each year, we crown a woman of Panamanian descent residing in the United States to serve as a cultural ambassador. She represents not only beauty and grace, but also leadership, service, and heritage. Our queen travels to Panama to participate in the nation’s Carnival festivities, make appearances at community events, and contribute to charitable initiatives that support those in need.
Miss Panama U.S. provides a platform where young women can showcase their talents, embrace their cultural identity, and inspire others through representation, service, and leadership.
We are committed to uniting the Panamanian diaspora, strengthening cultural ties between Panama and the United States, and creating opportunities for women to shine on a global stage.

History
Miss Panama US was founded by Carmelita Smith under Upscale Productions, Inc. in 2003. The organization’s goal was to raise awareness and provide support to children and the elderly in Panamá.
What started as a way to give back to the community grew into an amazing journey into the diverse and rich Panamanian culture.
For over two decades, Miss Panama US has continued to grow and expand on its original mission, celebrating heritage, embracing leadership, and highlighting Miss Panama US as a cultural ambassador for Panamá.
Our mission is carried out by using community service, networking, fundraisers and in-person appearances by our organization and the current Miss Panama US Queen.
